The journey

Into the Wild Highlands is a four-day guided walk on the quiet Strútstigur route through the Icelandic highlands, at a mindful pace and in a small group.

You sleep in mountain huts, walk with two guides, and let the vast volcanic landscape — Eldgjá, the Álftavötn lakes, Strútur and the black sands of Mælifellssandur — do the rest. Three vegetarian meals a day and baggage transport are included.

Reviews

What past Soulhikers say

  • The hike wasn't only an astonishing nature experience. It was the perfect pause from day-to-day life to tune inward and come back with renewed energy and creativity. A Soulhike was everything I didn't know I needed.
    Astrid L.Sweden
  • I knew immediately that I wanted to join when I came across Soulhike. The combination of outdoor life and presence with others is exactly what appeals to me. I have a longing for nature, but I don't manage to act on it in a busy everyday life — that's why I'm grateful there are people who arrange it for me. And it's a huge extra plus that it's together with others.
